There's a lot happening in our vibrant school! We’ve included all the latest events here on one page. Make it your first stop when you visit our school website to ensure you are always aware of what is going on.
After-school practice will start Monday, November 25 from 3:30 until 4:00 p.m. and continue through January. Keep practicing songs for the holiday concert and the Bb scale on page 40. As a reminder, the holiday concert is December 16 at 7:00 p.m.
Please join us for our winter music programs on Thursday, December 12. The schedule is as follows:
- Kindergarten - 1:00 p.m.
- First and Second Grades - 6:30 p.m.
We look forward to sharing our music with you!
The cold weather is here. Please send children with the big five - coat, hat, gloves, snow pants, and boots. We also ask that students have a pair of shoes as they do not allow them to wear boots in class. With so many students this year, we are not able to allow them to borrow items they forget. If there is a real need, please let the school know, and we will arrange for students to get the necessary items to have for their own. Remember, we go outside everyday for recess if the temperature is above 10 degrees.
For the month of December, we are introducing the characters of caring and speaking with good purpose. While I advocate for students to care about each other all year long, this month I am encouraging the practice of thinking about others besides yourself. During your conversations with your students, discuss what it means to care about others. Caring encompasses many things including being kind, being compassionate, showing empathy, expressing gratitude, forgiving others and showing mercy, helping people in need, and finally, being charitable and altruistic. Enjoy this Christmas season with those you love the most and remember, sharing is caring.
